Suqian resident income remains to grow fast

Since the beginning of this year, Suqian’s economy has continued to recover steadily, efforts have been made to implement policies and measures to enrich the people and increase their income, and employment has enjoyed overall stability, laying a good foundation for continued fast growth of residents’ income.

In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of Suqian residents was RMB 15,107, up by 14.3% year on year, which was the fastest in the province, and the average increase rate in the past two years was 8.7% against the same period in 2019.

In terms of urban and rural areas, in the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents was RMB 18,171 yuan, up by 13.7% year on year, which was the fastest in the province; and the per capita disposable income of rural residents was RMB 11,290, up by 15.9% year on year, ranking fourth in the province. The income gap between urban and rural residents continued to narrow, with the income ratio of urban and rural residents at 1.61, 0.03 lower than that of the same period last year.
