A special event for home appliances and auto parts of 2021 Jingchu Cloud Exhibition was inaugurated on July 13, under an online format.
The exhibition was supported by the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province as well as China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products.
By the end of December 2020, more than 1,000 Hubei-based enterprises and 2,400 overseas purchasers had participated in the exhibition, reaching an intended turnover of 130 million U.S. dollars.
From January to May this year, the province’s exports of mechanical and electrical products amounted to 66.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 98.4 percent. It accounted for 53.1 percent of the province’s exports and contributed to two-thirds of the export growth, according to Xiong Yi, deputy director of Foreign Trade Office of the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province.
20 special events of the online exhibition are scheduled to be held this year, highlighting Hubei’s key industries such as agricultural products, epidemic prevention and control supplies, stay-at-home economy, mechanical and electrical products, textile and garment, light industry and chemical industries.
