From January to May, the paid-in FDI of Yangzhou hit USD 904 million, an increase of 55.7% over 2020 and up by 5.2 percentage points over the period from January to April.
As per foreign investment projects, 80 new enterprises were approved, an increase of 24 enterprises over January to April. Over this period, 41 of these enterprises have over USD 30 million as either newly established funds or net added value, which is 15 enterprises more than the first quarter.
Over the first 5 months, Yangzhou saw foreign trade at RMB 37.698 billion, up by 26.1% year-on-year. Imports hit RMB 27.146 billion, up by 20% year-on-year.
