The Hubei special session of Kazakhstan-China Commodity Fair was launched on June 30, lasting for one month. More than 30 foreign trade enterprises from Hubei sought business cooperation with representatives of the chambers of commerce from the Belt and Road countries like Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Kazakhstan is a friendly neighbor of China, and is also an important partner of Hubei in Central Asia. In recent years, Hubei has carried out extensive cooperation with the country in the fields of agriculture, mining, and engineering construction. In January–May this year, Hubei’s imports and exports with Kazakhstan saw an increase of 1.7 times. On May 20, the first freight train linking Wuhan and Kazakhstan’s largest city Almaty set off.
As introduced, automobiles, machinery and equipment, electrical and electronic products are the main goods exported to Kazakhstan from Hubei.
In order to help enterprises win orders and expand the market, Hubei will organize 20 online events to present its agricultural products, epidemic prevention materials, machinery and electronics, textiles and clothing, light industry and chemical industry in the whole year of 2021, the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province said.
