FDI in Taizhou grew steadily from January to April

From January to April, FDI in Taizhou registered USD 438 million, a year-on-year increase of 38.2%, up 43.6% over the same period in 2019, an average increase of 19.8% in two years.

FDI in the manufacturing and modern service industries further increased. FDI in the manufacturing industry reached USD 191 million, accounting for 43.6% of the city’s total, up by 7.8 percentage points from the same period last year, a year-on-year increase of 68.1%; FDI in modern service industry (information transmission, software and information technology, scientific research and technology, etc.) reached USD 112 million, a year-on-year increase of 34.5%.

New investment and further investment in existing projects kept flooding in. There were 15 large projects with investment of more than USD 10 million, including Mabpharm Limited and Recobio, an increase of four over the same period last year, with accumulated investment of USD 308 million, a year-on-year increase of 33.9%, taking up 70.3% of the city’s total. 14 projects that received further investment, such as Aland Nutrition, PharmaMax, and CINIC, have seen a total investment of USD 163 million cumulatively, accounting for 37.2% of the city’s total.
