Cadres of east-west cooperation set out for Sichuan to perform temporary duties

On June 1, the farewell ceremony for the cadres of east-west cooperation was held in Hangzhou. 155 cadres were setting off to perform temporary duties in Sichuan.

The east-west cooperation is a major decision made by the Party Central Committee to promote coordinated regional development and common prosperity. It is Zhejiang’s unshirkable political responsibility to do a good job in the cooperation and provide support. Since the three-year campaign for poverty alleviation, our province has conscientiously implemented the decisions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council and continued to strengthen poverty alleviation cooperation between the east and the west. As a result, the 80 counties in 15 cities (prefectures) in Sichuan, Guizhou, Hubei, and Jilin have achieved poverty alleviation, showing Zhejiang’s strong sense of responsibility to serve the overall national strategy. According to the state’s unified plan on the adjustment of cooperation between the east and the west and the adjustment of counterpart support, starting this year, the cooperation between Zhejiang and Sichuan has entered a new stage, with Zhejiang providing support for 68 counties in 12 cities (prefectures) of Sichuan Province.

To deepen the cooperation between Zhejiang and Sichuan, we must focus on the new stage in the new journey, deeply understand the significance of the cooperation, and resolutely assume the unshirkable political mission to contribute to the rural revitalization and common prosperity of Zhejiang. We must focus on the new missions and tasks, consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, adhere to mutual benefit and win-win, consolidate efforts in systematic planning and advancement, and create distinctive highlights to turn the east and west collaboration into a “golden business card”. We must focus on the new image of the new team, vigorously promote the style of diligence, thinking, hard work, solidarity, cooperation and integrity, and strive to forge an Iron Zhejiang Army to aid Sichuan. It is hoped that those temporary cadres will always bear in mind their original aspirations and missions, always keep their enterprising and striving spirits, and vigorously promote the fine style of Zhejiang cadres to serve the “national needs”. It is hoped that they will take up the responsibility as Zhejiang cadres to make contributions and show the working style typical of Zhejiang cadres.
