China Tourism Day Jiangsu Branch kicks off in Changzhou

May 19th is China Tourism Day. On the morning, the 2021 China Tourism Day Jiangsu branch was launched in Maoshan Tourism Resort of Jintan, Changzhou. This event is sponsored by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Changzhou Municipal Government, and undertaken by Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting and Tourism, Changzhou Jintan District Government, and Ctrip Group. It is a series of activities in the cultural tourism consumption promotion season titled “Water Rhyme Jiangsu for Beauty”. In response to the theme of “Green Development for Better Life” on China Tourism Day this year, 10 “Water Rhyme Jiangsu” green theme boutique tourism routes were released at the event, covering 13 districts and cities in the province, 15 “Jiangsu Ecotourism Demonstration Zones” and 10 “Jiangsu Green Tourist Hotels”, these routes are simultaneously launched on the Ctrip platform.

On May 19th, 19 scenic spots including the China Imperial Examination Museum and the Six Dynasties Museum in Nanjing were open for free; Suzhou issued the “Huiyou Park Card”; Lianyungang issued 20 million yuan tourist coupons; and from the 19th to 25th, Wuxi offered at the Taihu Lake park discounts of 50% or more for Yuantouzhu, Lingshan and 31 scenic spots. On the same day, 512 tourism initiatives and more than 200 themed activities were launched in various parts of Jiangsu. Among them, there are 241 preferential measures for the general public such as price reductions and free fees in scenic spots, 95 tourist assistance measures for the elderly and the disabled, 100 preferential measures for the implementation of travel incentives for anti-epidemic professionals, model workers, and advanced workers, and public welfare performances. There are 36 literary and artistic measures to benefit the people such as the expansion of public cultural venues, along with 40 other measures to bring benefits in other sectors.
